Mem. from January 1, 1802 to Dec. 27, 1809. 1802.

Diary of Mark Noble, an inventor of fire engines and steam pumps, from January-July 1802. The volume documents business dealings, research, trials of new fire suppression equipment and financial accounts as well as incidental and personal social events. The volume is apparently incomplete, as it only runs through July 1802 not December 1809 (as stated on the cove)r and the last sentence within the text is fragmentary. The Clark Library also possesses Noble's diary for the year 1810.
